Dear customers,
This weekend, from 16 to 17 March, all EPC scheme members (SDD Core, SDD B2B, SCT and SCT INST) will be migrating to Rulebooks 2023.
For SlimPay, this will involve changing the formats of the banking files (ISO 20022) exchanged with BNP Paribas and the debtors' banks. From Monday 18 March, flows will have to be sent in the new formats.
What are the changes? According to the 2023 Rulebooks, we are introducing structured addresses, allowing the global payments environment to evolve towards greater transparency and standardisation. In 2024, the addresses of both our final customers and our merchants will have to be structured on an optional basis. In 2025, this will become mandatory.
This migration will be a 'big bang' for all players in the banking system, i.e. debtor banks, clearing houses and PSPs, and there will be no turning back. All the perimeters between BNP Paribas and SlimPay were initially tested in September 2023, and retested in February 2024. These tests were fully validated.
Teams will be mobilised in case of a major incident. An on-call team in contact with BNP Paribas is in place over the week-end and will operate on Monday morning to monitor banking flows. Crisis units and on-call contacts at BNP Paribas will be called upon if necessary.
This migration will have no impact on our merchants:
- Acquiring : This change of format is only visible between us and BNP Paribas. In fact, we'll upgrade our address exchange system between 2024 and 2025, so that we'll be able to receive and send fully structured addresses between merchants and SlimPay. At this stage, SlimPay already has everything it needs to send a simple structured address containing at least the town and country.
- Processing : The new Customer-To-PSP format (pain.008.001.08 for SDD) is optional for processing merchants. It will be mandatory by the end of 2025. No processing merchants will be transferred to the new format during the migration. If a merchant wishes to benefit from the new format (pain.008.001.08), they must request it from SlimPay Support. By default, when the account is opened, a processing merchant will be in the old format.
These changes are on an unprecedented scale, but everything possible has been done to ensure that the migration goes as smoothly as possible.

Pour SlimPay, cela implique une modification des formats de fichiers bancaires (ISO 20022) échangés avec BNP Paribas et les banques des débiteurs. À partir du lundi 18 mars, les flux devront être envoyés dans les nouveaux formats.
Quels sont les changements ? Conformément aux Rulebooks 2023, nous introduisons des adresses structurées permettant à l'environnement mondial des paiements d'évoluer vers davantage de transparence et de normalisation. En 2024, les adresses de nos clients finaux et de nos marchands devront être structurées sur une base facultative. En 2025, cela deviendra obligatoire.
Cette migration sera un "big bang" pour tous les acteurs du système bancaire, à savoir les banques débitrices, les chambres de compensation et PSP, et ce, sans possibilité de retour en arrière. L'ensemble des périmètres entre BNP Paribas et SlimPay ont été testés au préalable en septembre 2023, et à nouveau en février 2024 . Ces tests ont été entièrement validés.
Des équipes seront mobilisées en cas d'incident majeur. Une équipe d'astreinte en contact avec BNP Paribas est en place pendant le week-end et interviendra le lundi matin pour surveiller les flux bancaires. Des cellules de crise et des contacts d'astreinte chez BNP Paribas seront sollicités en cas de besoin.
Cette migration est sans impact pour nos marchands :
- En acquiring : Ce changement de format est uniquement visible entre nous et BNP Paribas. En effet, nous ferons évoluer notre système d'échange d'adresses entre 2024 et 2025 ; afin de pouvoir recevoir et envoyer des adresses entièrement structurées entre les marchands et SlimPay. À ce stade, SlimPay a déjà tout ce qui est nécessaire pour transmettre une adresse structurée simple contenant au minimum la ville et le pays.
- En processing : Le nouveau format Customer-To-PSP (pain.008.001.08 pour SDD) est optionnel pour les marchands en processing. Celui-ci sera obligatoire à la fin de l'année 2025. Aucun marchand en processing ne sera transféré vers le nouveau format pendant la migration. Si un marchand souhaite bénéficier du nouveau format (pain.008.001.08), il devra en faire la demande au Support SlimPay. Par défaut, à l'ouverture du compte, un marchand en processing sera sur l'ancien format.
Ces changements sont d'une ampleur sans précédent, cependant tout a été mis en œuvre afin que la migration se déroule dans les meilleures conditions possibles.
